Needing a bit of a leave from the demands of touring and working with Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton began stretching out on his own working with Delaney and Bonnie as well as releasing his debut album. Amongst all this turmoil Capton joined forces with Duane Allman , Jim Gordon , Carl Radle and Bobby Whitlock calling themselves Derek & The Dominos. The album was released on Sept 10th 1970 and received a very cold reception........and of course now it is considered on of the great rock albums of our time.
