Holy crap these guys are good !   Fans of the heavier side of the music spectrum will love this album..aka the Black Keys, Radio Moscow......  The Bloody Hollies are a Buffalo based indie band that have released a number of albums that straddle metal, garage rock and punk genres and seem to just crank out great number after number.   On "Yours Until The Bitter End" they added a fourth member ....enter bassist Erik Norgaard and wham what an album.    This album is a fair dose of high energy heavy reverb with some pretty catchy and cool tunes.  Highly recommended if you are looking for a good kick -ass album !

  In The Future was the second album by Canadian rock dark lords...this time delivering a progressive nightmare with some lovely synth work.  Heavy for sure and definitely not your Sunday breakfast cereal type of band but holy moly these guys can really rock it out.  Fans of Black Sabbath and Led Zep will surely love this band as will prog heads.    The 2 cd set carries 3 great extra tracks that were part of the concept and were only available to those lucky enough to have swung the deluxe edition.  This is one of the best overall rock albums I have heard in years and I judge this as I have not stop playing this since the day i bought it back in 2008 !  essential

  Black Mountain's 3rd album is yet another wonderful and powerful album!  Once again they play with a sound like an ode to the forefathers.....Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.   Stephen McBean fuzzed out guitars along with Amber Webber's vocals creates a combo that you have to hear.  Let me say that Wilderness Heart is not for the "weak at heart" with its thumping and pounding bass and drum interplay.  This album was nicely recorded and sounds fantastic on a good stereo.  This album is less progressive than their previous "In The Future" and feels more stripped down and straight forward.    
  This album has the right mix of organ pumps and synth runs as well helping to create that  BIG WALL OF SOUND they love to play within.    Overall a striking album with some great songs and a real heavy vibe that you don't hear much these days anymore.
