Thanks to my wife's mother (who grew up in Northern Scotland) and who was a big Donovan fan gave my exposure to this wonderful minstrel !
After hearing the title song "Wear your love like heaven" i ran out and found this psychedelic folk masterpiece. Years later this album is still one of my favs of the psych folk scene. Softly flowing vocals and harmonies......unassuming organ, acoustic guitar and loads of flute create this dreamy musical panoramic on which Donovan paints his ornate lyrics.
This is a pretty trippy album actually with loads of paisley montages and oil blob folk harmonies.
And even some courderoy for a little boy.
