Tiddlywinks was the 5th studio album released from the "world's greatest bar band" or so as they are oft' referred to! As with so many of the NRBQ albums this one is a gem of stylistically innovative pop songs. Most of the tunes as usual were written by Terry Adams and Joey Spampinato. This album contains my favourite NRBQ songs with Adam's power pop "Me and the Boys" (which was also later recorded by Bonnie Ratt) and the jazzy reinterpretation of "Music Goes Round and Around" which always makes my toes tap and my face smile.
Tiddlywinks was also the second album released on Rounder after they had been dropped by Mercury Records in 1978.
