Brian Wilson
21 years of silence ceased with the release of Brian's first solo album back in 1988 and for many (like me) a very welcome return. Wilson wrote all the tunes and sings lead with strong support of his musical collaborator and friend Andy Paley. This album is deep is sunshine pop infused tunes and awesome vocal harmonies.
Wilson also brings in a few friends on this album featuring Christopher Cross,Terence Trent D'Arby, Elliot Easton and Jeff Lynne.
This is a very pop-friendly album and seems to work on two levels....both deeply emotional and connected songs while maintaining a simple album of good songs for those not wanting to figure out what he is thinking.
The music of Brian Wilson is forever indelibly laced with the unmistakeable pain of his personal pain of existence and yet musically is rich and always harmonic.
