I still love the Lovin' Spoonful's music and the John Sebastian solo albums....i mean who could forget "Welcome Back Kotter" theme song? I heard this tune every week for many years on TV and somewhere along the way picked up the LP.
Sebastian was an amazing singer, songwriter and musician and this album exemplifies this fact. John includes an excellent remake of the Spoonful's "didnt wanna have to do it". Also on this album are two members of the band Toto (before they were in Toto) Jeff Pocaro and David Hungate.
My favourite song on this album is "Shes Funny" which i think is just so full of expressionism and character delivered in Sebastian's style.
