Plan 9 - Frustration (1982)

Plan 9 - Frustration

Garage psych'sters take note!!     Plan 9's debut album is a pure trip down the 60's psych memory lane (or lack of memory lane)!

This nine piece band from Rhode Island uniquely featured four guitarists and were one of the most promising new garage psych bands trying to break on thru during the 80's.

This crudely recorded debut album just drips with fuzzed guitars and that extra special psych vibe.  They do a killer version of THEM's "I Can Only Give You Everything".  Lead vocalist Eric Stumpo has a classic garage rock sounding vocal style.

The highlight for me is the huge epic side two side long track "Frustration" which has an early Pink Floyd feel with a punk psych thing going on.....also reminiscent of Rolling Stones in a wild sort of way.

Fans of the B52's and Fuzztones will adore this album!

This is a very cool album .........brilliant !
